In the present study, salivary ET-1 levels were highly expressed in patients with OSCC, SMF and OL as compared to normal healthy controls. Also, the salivary levels of ET-1 were highly expressed in initial clinical stages of OSCC, implicating the role of ET-1 as a growth factor and tumour initiation factor. It was found that the levels of ET-1 were highly expressed in all stages of SMF, which may indicate its role in oral Haloperidol proliferation and disease progression. Therefore, our results demonstrate potential utility of salivary analysis for ET-1 levels to monitor patients at risk for OSCC.
This study provides the basis for a larger prospective study to determine the critical levels of salivary ET-1 necessary to diagnose and monitor OPMD’s and its potential to undergo malignant transformation. More research in the direction of including other oral potentially malignant disorders will help us to estimate the levels of salivary ET-1, thereby reducing the incidence of OPMDs and consequently preventing oral carcinogenesis.

Background: Cancer survivors experience late and long-term eﬀects of treatment; also, the disease itself might be responsible for persisting functional impairments. The purpose of this study was to investigate muscle strength, balance function using the Mini-Balance Evaluation Systems Test and Timed Up and Go test with single and cognitive dual tasks and body sway in breast cancer survivors and healthy women and non-breast cancer sur-vivors and healthy participants.
